Swedish quintet Little Dragon’s fourth album is a curious listen.
The sparse trip-hop of opener Mirror suggest it’s going to be an intense-a-thon, but then the mood changes swiftly with Klapp Klapp’s bubbling electronic house is and the title track’s laid back funky groove. The band even try their arm – successfully too, mind – at banging ’88-style vocal house with Only One.
Not the most accessible of records and unlikely to break them nationally, but well worth persevering with.
