Clean Bandit: New Eyes

cleanbandit THE rebirth of accessible British dance music continues apace. After sterling sets from Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, Rudimental and a reinvigorated Pet Shop Boys over the past year comes another, from Cambridge quartet Clean Bandit. The joyous Rather Be spent four weeks atop the UK chart – making them the first homegrown act to do so since Adele – and this debut delivers on its exceptional promise in some style. They move from one style  to another with consummate ease,   even throwing that much-talked-about classical in on occasion. Even more so than closest relatives Disclosure, though, the end result is always more poptastic than seriously clubby. Like this?
