Eugene McGuinness: Chroma

This is the fourth album by former Miles Kane band member McGuinness – and the Merseysider’s imprint is all over it.

It’s an enjoyable enough rocker, with opener Godiva invoking The Beatles and Amazing Grace sounding like an outtake from the Last Shadow Puppets’ The Age of The Understatement.

A handful of tracks take in other influences and Chroma is a decent album but it won’t change anyone’s world.
