Hideaway, the debut single from 25-year-old Canadian Kiesza, was a UK number one earlier this year but in a marketplace awash with electro-pop divas, her album is going to have to be something pretty special to scale such heights.
Unfortunately, it isn’t. She has a great voice and there is a good mixture of Disclosure-esque dance pop and Lisa Stansfield meets Cheryl big ballads, but it’s not remarkable enough to turn her into a bona fide star.
