Panda Bear is otherwise known as Noah Lennox of cult LA band Animal Collective, and his fifth solo album combines more styles than you can shake a stick at to produce a record which veers from the flat-out odd to the almost radio-friendly.
Some tracks recall Pink Floyd’s poppier late 1960s side, while Brian Wilson is also clearly a keen influence. It’s as mad as a box of frogs and occasionally a bit too out there for its own good but it’s definitely worth a spin.
