Peace, Happy People

The early 90s was a great time for indie, wasn’t it? Birmingham quartet Peace certainly seem to think so.
Sophomore effort Happy People continues where debut In Love left off, offering 10 tracks which bring to mind Morning Glory-era Oasis (O You), Supergrass (Gen Strange) and a whole host of others which would fit happily onto any indie disco playlist.
The bar is raised for the mostly acoustic Someday, with its lovelorn lyrics and the pensive Under The Moon, and although there’s very little in the way of originality it’s entertaining enough and the songs are strong.
