Albert Hammond, Momentary Masters

Albert Hammond, Momentary Masters

Fourteen years on from the debut album which defined them and inspired a generation of guitar-slingers, the UK’s passion for The Strokes seems to continue unabated, if this summer’s reunion gig at Hyde Park is anything to go by.
Guitarist Hammond’s third solo album sticks fairly firmly to his old band’s template but that’s no bad thing and his ear for a melody is as keen as ever.
Strokes fans would be well advised to pick up a copy as a matter of urgency.
