Beach House, Depression Cherry

Beach House, Depression Cherry

Thirty years on from their heyday, blissful dream pop of the Cocteau Twins variety still seems as popular as ever. This fifth record from French-American duo Beach House certainly fits into that category, with a sprinkling of early-80s electropop (Space Song could be OMD) for good measure.

It’s like being wrapped in a gorgeous warm musical blanket, with a winning melody never far away and Victoria Legrand’s whispery vocals ready to sooth away all aches and pains.
