The XX mainman Jamie Smith’s debut solo album is the kind of record to get the club cognoscenti in a lather while also appealing to those of us who have forgotten what the inside of a nightclub looks like.
Jam-packed with warm, euphoric electronica, it also finds space for Uptown Funk-style street soul on I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) and the electronic soul of Stranger in a Room, featuring XX bandmate Oliver Sim.
